Winston Score History

The full picture

Accsys Technologies is a Dutch company that takes ordinary, fast-growing wood and turns it into a much stronger, longer-lasting material. It does this through a chemical process called acetylation, which makes the wood resistant to rot, moisture, and insects without using toxic preservatives. Its main products are Accoya wood and Tricoya wood panels, sold to builders, window makers, and construction companies across Europe and beyond.

The company earns money by selling its treated wood products and by licensing its acetylation technology to partners who build and operate their own production plants. Accsys is headquartered in the Netherlands and generates most of its revenue in Europe, with licensing expanding its reach into North America and Asia. Its patented process is a genuine competitive advantage because the technology is difficult to replicate and protected by intellectual property. The key growth driver is scaling up production capacity and signing new licensing deals, while the main risk is that building activity slows down, reducing demand from its core construction customers.

Growth + cash flow

Accsys Technologies is a rare growth stock that's already generating positive cash flow while growing at 20%. The Winston Score doesn't fully credit this transition from "burner" to "earner."

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
