Winston Score History

The full picture

Ageas is a Belgian insurance company that sells life and non-life insurance products to individuals and businesses. Its main products include health insurance, car insurance, home insurance, and life savings plans. The company serves millions of customers across Europe and Asia, making it one of the larger insurance groups headquartered in Belgium.

Ageas makes money by collecting premiums from policyholders and investing that money, paying out claims when needed and keeping the difference as profit. It operates in around 14 countries, with strong positions in Belgium, the UK, Portugal, and several Asian markets including China, India, and Thailand — often through local partnerships. The company's broad geographic spread and long-standing partnerships with banks to sell insurance (a model called bancassurance) give it a durable distribution advantage. The main risk it faces is exposure to rising claims costs from natural disasters and inflation, which can squeeze the gap between premiums collected and claims paid out.

Growth + cash flow

ageas SA/NV is a rare growth stock that's already generating positive cash flow while growing at 20%. The Winston Score doesn't fully credit this transition from "burner" to "earner."

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
