Winston Score History

The full picture

Airbus SE builds commercial passenger jets, military aircraft, helicopters, and satellites. Its best-known products are the A320 and A350 passenger planes, which it sells to airlines around the world. Airbus is one of only two companies on the planet — alongside Boeing — that makes large commercial aircraft, making it a duopoly player in one of the most important industries in global transportation.

Airbus earns money by selling aircraft, spare parts, and maintenance services to airline customers. It also generates revenue through its defense and space division, which supplies governments with military transport planes, satellites, and missile systems. The company is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates major production sites across France, Germany, Spain, and the UK, with a growing presence in the US and China. Its biggest challenge is a massive production backlog — demand is strong, but supply chain bottlenecks and labor shortages have slowed delivery rates, making execution the central risk to near-term financial performance.

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
