Winston Score History

The full picture

Centaurus Metals is an Australian mining exploration company focused on developing a large nickel sulfide project in Brazil. Its main asset is the Jaguar Nickel Sulfide Project in the Pará state of Brazil, which contains one of the largest undeveloped nickel sulfide deposits in the world. Nickel is a key ingredient in batteries used in electric vehicles, making Centaurus relevant to the growing EV supply chain.

The company does not yet produce or sell anything, which explains its zero margins. It raises money by issuing shares to fund exploration drilling and project studies, a common model for early-stage mining companies. Centaurus operates almost entirely in Brazil and is considered a small-cap developer still years away from potential production. The main risk is that turning a mineral deposit into an operating mine requires enormous capital, regulatory approvals, and sustained high nickel prices — none of which are guaranteed.

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
