Winston Score History

The full picture

Embraer is a Brazilian company that builds airplanes. It makes commercial jets for regional airlines, military aircraft for governments, and private jets sold under the Phenom and Praetor brand names. It is the third-largest commercial aircraft maker in the world, behind only Boeing and Airbus.

Embraer earns money by selling aircraft and also through long-term service contracts that cover maintenance, parts, and support. It operates globally, with customers across North America, Europe, Latin America, and beyond, and generates roughly $6 billion in annual revenue. Its main competitive advantage is its strong position in the regional jet market, where its E-Jet family has few direct rivals. The biggest risk the company faces is its exposure to airline industry cycles — when airlines struggle financially, they delay or cancel aircraft orders, which directly hurts Embraer's revenue.

Growth + cash flow

Embraer S.A. is a rare growth stock that's already generating positive cash flow while growing at 16%. The Winston Score doesn't fully credit this transition from "burner" to "earner."

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
