Winston Score History

The full picture

Epsilon Energy Ltd. is a small oil and natural gas company that drills for and produces energy underground. It focuses mainly on natural gas production in the Marcellus Shale region of Pennsylvania, one of the largest natural gas fields in the United States. The company also has some oil and gas operations in Oklahoma.

Epsilon makes money by selling the natural gas and oil it pulls out of the ground, and it also earns fees by gathering and processing gas for other producers through its pipeline infrastructure in Pennsylvania. With a market cap of around $100 million, it is a very small player in the energy industry. Its gathering system gives it some cost advantages in its core area, but as a small producer, it is heavily exposed to swings in natural gas prices, which remain the biggest risk to its revenue and profitability.

Revenue accelerating

Epsilon Energy grew revenue 57% year-over-year and the growth rate is speeding up. That's the kind of momentum growth investors look for — the question is whether margins can follow.

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
